the silence of the lambs

last friday I watched the film 'silence of the lambs' I thought it was amazing, it isn't too scary but it messes with your head, the serial killer 'Buffalo Bill' was actually believable as he behaved like a real serial killer, this is renforced by the fact that he was based on a REAL serial killers such as Ed Gein, a man who collected parts of his victims as keepsakes and skinned several girls to make a 'woman suit' and also made several skin masks, Ted Bundy a man who pretended to be injured as a ploy to ask his victims for help and then he'd incapacitate them and kill them and Gary M. Heidnik a man who kidnapped six women and made them his sex slaves. Hannibal Lecter is also scary because he can mess with your head as he used to be a psychiatrist, so he's very smart, the first scene where he appears, the main character Clarice Starling went to the asylum to his cell and he was just standing in the middle of his cell like he knew she was coming, Lecter seems to like Clarice which is very disturbing, when Clarice finally kills Buffalo Bill it seems like it's all over but Lecter had escaped from his cell and calls Clarice from an airport in Bimini then dissappears into the crowd, that is where the film ends. overall it was a brilliant film and we could use some of the ideas in our film to make Charlie Chuckles a smarter and more believable killer.
